Proven quality for extreme environments: emPC-CXR - tested to EN50155.

The special robustness of the emPC-CXR, an embedded PC developed by Janz Tec, has been officially confirmed by numerous studies.

The emPC-CXR is specially designed for rough environments and is even reliable in the worst imaginable conditions. These include extreme temperatures, strong vibrations and damp or particularly dusty surroundings. The Phoenix test lab, an independent testing and certification service provider, has tested the system successfully according to DIN EN50155. The norm applies to electronic equipment on railway vehicles.

The computer passed all tests for electromagnetic compatibility as well as the environmental tests - both with
i7-3517 and with Celeron 1047UE. It remains problem-free in ambient temperatures of -40°C to +70°C in the TX temperature class. It is in Category 1B (Body Mounted) for shock and vibration. The achieved protection class IP67 demonstrated its particular resistance to dust and moisture. The robust device also passed the 96-hour salt mist test.

Apart from its use in the rail industry, typical end-user applications for the emPC-CRX are deep and opencast mining, maritime and automotive applications, farming and the on-/offshore sector.
