Abaco Systems' Embedded Ethernet Switch product family offers an extensive number of switches providing maximum flexibility, performance, and density. Form factors include VPX, cPCI, VME and PMC. Many of these models come in air cooled, conduction cooled and packaged variants. Abaco offers a wide range of connections featuring: 10GigE (10GBase-KX4, 10GBase-CX4, 10GBase-SR, 10GBase-LR), GigE (1000BaseT, 1000BaseSX, 1000BaseLX), 100Mbps (100BaseTX, 100BaseFX) or even 10Mbps (10BaseT).
Unmanaged switches operate at Layer 2 and are designed for easy deployment in simple, well defined applications. Managed switches are available as Layer 2/3 switches with control and monitoring capabalities via local or remote access. Managed switches support a wealth of configuration options and protocol support, including multicast, broadcast, spanning tree, and VLANs. Fully managed switches include both IPv4 and IPv6 switching and routing. The PMC and XMC Ethernet Network Interface Cards (NICs) are designed to relieve bandwidth bottlenecks and can be rapidly incorporated into VME, VPX or CPCI applications.
