Abaco Systems announces upgraded Software Development Tool to ease and speed Development of HPEC Applications

Abaco Systems announced an upgrade to its AXIS MPI high performance message passing middleware that will deliver a substantial performance improvement as well as support for GPUdirect™.
AXIS MPI was formerly only available as part of Abaco’s unique, innovative AXIS (Advanced Multiprocessor Integrated Software) software development environment, but is now being made available standalone. Concurrently, Abaco announced that both AXIS and AXIS MPI will be supported not only by Abaco’s market-leading HPEC platforms, but also across the company’s full range of single board computers.

AXIS and AXIS MPI are designed to optimize the development of sophisticated high performance, multiprocessor applications such as mission processors, radar, sonar, image processing, signals intelligence and electronic warfare.

AXIS MPI has been demonstrated to have a significantly beneficial effect on power consumption/heat dissipation in certain applications, and to deliver substantially superior throughput compared with alternative message passing interfaces.
